    2. 28. The decision as to the Winners is final and may not be challenged.
  29. If a Winner elects not to take, or fails to do everything necessary to accept, the Scholarship within 14 days of the announcement of the winners, that Winner will have abandoned their right to the Scholarship and the Scholarships will then be determined based on the accumulated points of the remaining participants. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, Centennial Schools shall have the unfettered right to extend the 14-day period.
  30. The prize money portion of the Scholarships and the distribution thereof shall occur as follows:
    1. First Prize:
      1. R330,000.00 to be split evenly on a monthly pro-rata basis calculated from the first month that the Winner attends Centennial Schools following the Competition, until what would ordinarily be the last school month of grade 12 at Centennial Schools, based on the assumption that the Winner does not repeat, or skip, any school years and completes their education, until the end of grade 12, with Centennial Schools.
      2. For the sake of clarity the following example is provided: If the First Prize Winner is in Grade 8 (starting in January 2024) for the first time at Centennial Schools, then they have 5 (five) years of schooling left. This equates to R5,500.00 per month being deducted from the Centennial Schools fees (which are R9 150.00 for 2024) leaving a monthly Centennial Schools fee balance of R3,650.00 for 2024.
      3. Second Prize shall operate in the same manner as First Prize save that the amount shall be R220,000.00.
      4. Third Prize shall operate in the same manner as First Prize save that the amount shall be R165,000.00.
  31. ASUS Laptops
    1. In order for the Winners to receive the Asus laptops, they must have accepted the Scholarships and commenced school with Centennial Schools. In addition, the Winners must respectively insure the Asus laptops under all risks (and at all times that the Scholarship remains operational maintain insurance) prior to receiving the laptop.
    2. The Winners and their legal guardians must look after the laptop and repair any damages thereto at their own cost.
    3. The Winners will receive the Asus Laptops awarded as part of their respective prizes on the date they commence school with Centennial Schools.
    4. Unless a Winner is a student at Centennial Schools for the full duration of the Scholarship, they must return the laptop awarded as their prize to Centennial Schools in good order (fair wear and tear excepted) upon early termination of their Centennial Schools career.
  32. BRUSA
    1. It is specifically recorded that the prize for the 50% discount on any of the BRUSA American University placement packages has been offered to the Winners directly from BRUSA.
    2. Should BRUSA fail to provide the discount, the Winners and their legal guardians shall have no claim against Centennial Schools for this portion of their prize, and by accepting the Scholarship shall have waived and abandoned any claims against Centennial Schools which they may have had.
  33. This agreement (together with any rules, policies and agreements referred to herein) shall constitute the sole record of the agreement insofar as the Competition, Scholarships and Prizes are concerned.
  34. No extension of time or waiver or relaxation or indulgence of any of the provisions or terms of this agreement shall operate as an estoppel against any party in respect of this agreement, nor shall it operate so as to preclude such party thereafter from exercising its rights strictly in accordance with this agreement.
  35. Save as expressly provided in this agreement, none of the parties shall be entitled to cede, delegate, encumber, assign or otherwise transfer any of their rights and/or obligations in terms of, and/or interest in, this agreement to any third party without the prior written consent of the other parties.

  37. This agreement shall be deemed to be accepted by the participant’s legal guardians and the participants upon application to enter into the Competition.
